SGA Security, a leading private security company in the region, has achieved certification from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 18788: 2015 – the highest standard for any security company in Kenya and the region.
The prestigious certification is in recognition of SGA Security’s conduct and compliance risk management capabilities to meet the business requirements of customers and other Security Operations Management System (SOMS) stakeholders.
It was awarded by Intertek, a global quality assurance, testing, inspection and certification company.
The globally recognized ISO certification seeks to improve and demonstrate the consistent and predictable security operations of SGA while maintaining the safety and security of their clients within a framework that aims to ensure respect for human rights, national laws and international and fundamental freedoms.
It is based on the International Code of Conduct for Private Security Solution Providers (ICoC) and the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights; Protect, respect and repair.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, CEO and President of SGA Security, Julius Delahaije, said the certification is the highest level certification in East and Central Africa that demonstrates accountability to the law, respect for rights human rights and consistency with voluntary commitments to customers, communities and stakeholders in general. .

SGA Tanzania and SGA Uganda have also recently achieved ISO 18788 certification which makes SGA Group the first fully certified security solutions provider in the region and confirms its position among the top international providers of security services.
